Eddystone Pursuit

Photographic evidence we sailed around the Eddystone lighthouse, taking part in the charity pursuit event raising money for The Mount Batten Centre.  We managed to hold our concentration and spinnaker for four plus hours and 26 nautical miles, straight out and back via the western entrance to the Sound.

The J80 was rather overpowered and at an angle not conducive to any eating or drinking.  Our neighbours appeared to be enjoying a picnic in a very civilised fashion; our food bags only moved across the boat purely as ballast!

Sennen circuit

A lovely walk across the beach and along the coast path, up to the road and back round again for a pasty and hot drink.  Great company and soooo lucky with the weather!

Venice Carnival Feb 2016

A beautiful, compact, if wet city.  Throngs of people from across the globe enjoying all it has to offer.  Touts of umbrellas and selfie sticks taking the opportunity to cash in.  (Apparently selfie sticks are now an ‘official statistic’; more people die in selfie related incidents than from vending machines, though possibly more Americans are still shot by their dogs.)
